Hours
The International School of Charlottesville offers the following classes:
- A foreign language-introduction class for toddlers ages 2 to 3, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The schedule options available are:
- 5-day/week attendance (Monday-Friday)
- 3-day/week attendance (Mon., Wed., Fri.)
- 2-day/week attendance (Tues., Thurs.)
- Preschool classes for 33 month - 4 year olds from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Classes are available in either Spanish immersion or French immersion. The schedule options available are:
- 5-day/week attendance (Monday-Friday)
- 3-day/week attendance (Mon., Wed., Fri.)
- 2-day/week attendance (Tues., Thurs.)
- Pre-kindergarten/kindergarten classes for 4 - 6 year olds from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 am - 2:00 pm on Friday. These class meets five days a week. Classes are available in either Spanish immersion or French immersion.
- Before-school care from 8:00 am to 9:00 am
- After-school care until 5:30 pm
Choice of nap or non-sleeping quiet time (separate rooms): 12:30 to 3:00 pm
After care: 3:00 to 5:30 pm
- Summer camp from mid-June through mid-August for 3 - 6 year olds. See Summer Camps for details.
- Alumni classes for students to maintain and improve their foreign language. Class offering changes every year, depending on the demand. See Alumni Programs for details.
Tuition
The ISC's tuition is structured similarly to that of a school rather than a day care. The ISC does however have tuition options that include care before and after the school day.
Tuition is payable in several ways: one complete payment at the beginning of the school year; two equal payments at the beginning of the year (August) and in the middle of the year (January); nine equal monthly payments throughout the school year (there is a 4% surcharge added to this option).
