Please see a message below from Our Head of School.
Dear Families,
I sincerely hope that you had some restorative and peaceful days to start this very different 2020 holiday season.
A little (but important!) note before we return to school tomorrow. You might remember my letter before the Thanksgiving break urging you all to keep safety at the forefront of your minds during this holiday season.
As you look to return to school tomorrow I would like you to take a moment to reflect on your holiday interactions. Maybe you saw friends/ family that you had not anticipated. Maybe you were invited into a home that was not planned for. Maybe it was also just hard to wear masks and stay six feet apart when it felt so good to see others. If this was the case, we ask you to please make the right choice and keep your family home until you can safely say that everyone is healthy and ready to be around others. As I mentioned, we can provide some activities for your child to complete if you prefer to keep them at home for now. If your ISC student was sick over the break, please be sure to let us know, so we can discuss what the safest return to school date is.
Additionally I would like to ask you for one change; every morning you answer a question on the health check about family members. Normally this just means people you share your home with. After the holidays we ask that you stay in touch with family/ friends that you saw and remain aware of any illness they might develop. As you check in for next week, we ask that you think of ‘family’ in a broader sense and include anyone you spent more than 15 minutes with indoors, or anyone that was close and unmasked. So if your next door neighbor, who you shared a Thanksgiving meal with, suddenly has a fever, please keep your child at home - just to be safe!
Continuously grateful for your ongoing support!
