Extracurricular Teachers and Programs
The ISC is seeking energetic, creative, child-loving individuals to join our Afternoon Enrichment team to help provide meaningful artistic, athletic, musical, and language-focused opportunities for our young students each weekday between the hours of 2:30 and 5:30. If you teach or coach young children and would like to explore a partnership with the ISC, please email Tini Bennett, Head of School, at tbennett@theisc.org.
Substitute Teachers
We are always looking for substitute teachers to help out with our various programs. Foreign language fluency is not required, but knowledge of French and/or Spanish is a plus. Applicants should have at least one semester (or equivalent) of training in Early Childhood Education and some experience working with young children, preferably in a group setting.
Teaching Interns
When possible, we welcome volunteers from UVA and other area schools as interns in our classrooms. Interns should apply directly to our Head of School. Because classroom volunteers are required to meet a strict set of standards, training, and background checks before working with our young children, we ask that only those willing and able to make a regular commitment apply for a teaching internship at the ISC.
